Amanda
Owner, Certified Personal Trainer
I started in personal training because I wanted to work with women to help them develop a love for weight training and to get over the mindset that the weight room is scary or overwhelming. AND to learn to love themselves for what they can do over how they may look. That was a huge struggle for me in the past - putting the focus on how my body looked over all else. And learning to let go of that has been a huge part of the process and motivation in starting this community.
I'm also a mom and step-mom to girls, and try extra hard to be a example of a strong woman who loves herself, has a healthy body image, and works for things even when they’re hard.
Certified in Personal Training through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), I have the experience and education to help you progress with your own goals while identifying your body’s current abilities and needs. Whether you’re a gym novice looking to grow your knowledge and confidence, or more experienced and wanting technique or programming assistance, I look forward to working with you!

Certified Personal Trainer - Group & Personal Training
Hailing from the UK I moved to Fernie in January 2019, and now call Fernie home. An active and sporty childhood led me to finding the gym around 15 years old and there began an interesting relationship with fitness.
It wasn’t until a knee injury in 2019 that put me on a long ACL recovery journey that I found true love for her body and fitness. Being forced to dial in on a regimented recovery program changed my appreciation for movement and my body’s strength.
Starting with my Spin Instructor Training I realized I wanted to do much more, which led to me becoming Certified as a Personal Training, and joining the FSC team, and I am- so excited by what is being created here.
Women need more spaces to learn and grow in the fitness world and find peace with their bodies, and I looks forward to being part of that journey with you!

B.Sc. Kinesiology - Group Training
I grew up in Ottawa, Ontario in a family of fitness fanatics. I started working out as a young girl trying to copy her older brothers and was naturally drawn to complete my BSc in Kinesiology at McGill University. I competed in CrossFit for 7 years and have coached HIIT, CrossFit, and Olympic weightlifting. I have coached children as young as 5 years old and nursing home residents as old as 102! I have a passion for helping people improve their physical fitness and function, no matter their ability level. I also have an MSc in Epidemiology which allows me to perform research to improve physical function in older adults with frailty having surgery!
I moved to Fernie in 2021 and spend most of my free time mountain biking or skiing nowadays, but still love to lift heavy weights. I am so excited to be part of the FSC team because I want women to feel confident moving their bodies properly, getting strong, and having FUN with it.

I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology and have experience working with physiotherapists, athletic therapists, and kinesiologists to provide training and rehabilitation. Adina
Certified Pre & Postnatal Coach
I like to move it move it !!(and clearly have toddlers of my own). I feel so passionately about the freedom that moving our bodies for the benefit of strength, wellness and mental health brings. When I had my daughter in 2018 my life literally changed overnight. While I was so in love with my new little one, I also found it hard to balance my own needs. Over time, I've slowly been finding my groove and it lead me to becoming a Group Fitness Instructor, and then becoming certified as a Pre and Postnatal Exercise Coach.
I'm combining my love of motherhood and movement to create workouts for moms to help them build strength, mobility and knowledge for their own journeys. I love the supportive and fun atmosphere at FSC, and am really looking forward to being a part of the team in serving our amazing community we get to call home.
Shelley
Certified Personal Trainer and Strength & Conditioning Coach
I moved to beautiful Fernie in July 2022 from Australia and have recently been granted permanant residency.
I have been working in the health industry for 20 years, owning and operating a Clinic as a Remedial Massage Therapist and Lymphoedema Therapist with a special interest in Rehabilitation post surgery and injury recovery utilising soft tissue techniques and exercise prescription. I decided to further my training and complete a certificate in Strength and Conditioning coaching as I had a keen interest in furthering my knowledge. My practical placement took me to learning from a Rugby coach who had worked worldwide with elite athletes, following that I was grateful to learn from an Australian championship powerlifter and coach who taught me proper lifting techniques and also how to observe and assist others. I then decided to complete my certificate in Fitness so I could further assist my clientele. I have also contributed to University studies for mobility improvement in Arthritic patients designing programs incorporating exercise and massage. Armed with such a diverse education in Anatomy, Massage and Lymphatic treatments, Fitness and with experience with so many clients with mobility issues, pain and current and past injuries I enjoy the diversity of treatment and exercise prescription and respect the importance of tailoring programming to suit the individual.
My personal fitness journey encompasses a range of training both in the gym and outside with my main goal to feel strong and able in all of the activities I enjoy in life. From hiking and biking to snowboarding, dirt bike riding and martial arts I know that strength, mobility and cardiovascular work is imperative to continuing my favourite activities. Weightlifting in particular is my "zen" time as it calms a busy mind and brings me focus.
I look forward to helping you reach your goals and being a part of your strength and fitness journey.
